I was brought up in a pretty messed up family. I had never really felt like I had belonged anywhere, until at 16 years old I was introduced to the amazing staff at youth haven Barrie. Not only did I get the verbal butt whooping that I definitely needed, but I also received the support that I had been searching for my whole life. It never mattered what time of day it was there was always someone there for me to talk to about anything and everything without ever having to worry about being judged. To this day I still live by their advice. They have helped me to become not only the woman I am today but also the mom they knew I could be. So this goes out to all the staff at youth Haven, thank you for the wonderful life you have helped me to create for myself and my family. Love you guy’s and I hope to see you all soon!

I stayed at Y.H. off and on from 16 till I was 20, Throughout the years they taught me the necessary skills and support I would need to be where I am today …I am a father of three and have been sober for five years now and I work full time to raise my children the way I wished I could have been raised and I owe it all to Youth Haven. They were always there through my good times and very bad times and to this day I have strong relationships with the staff at Youth Haven and will never loose contact with them. They were like the parents I never had growing up and would never give up on me at my worst of times. Youth Haven is the best place for youth in need and will always be…..
